The awards would be declared and presented on Feb 15th at Chennai.
There would be three separate categories, 'Most Popular Movie', 'Most Loved Film Celebrity' and 'Most Hated Film Celebrity' announced during the award ceremony. However, there are no nominations for that and the result is based on the viewers reaction.
Now why the name Vilm-Fair? The list has only the 2007 released films that I had watched and the music that I had listened to(One of my previous posts mentions that I havnt watched Saawariya. Unfortunately I did watch it, sometime early Jan '08). And unlike the other XXXX-Fare awards, this one, I assure, is going to be fair enough. One thing is certain; the judges (ahem!) are going to have a tough time till the results are announced!!!

OSO's album was one among the popular albums of 2007..i can understand y u dropped that..
and the movie eklavya shouldn't be in the 2007 nomination list..it was released with other movies like lage raho munnabhai and rang de basanti in 2006.therefore saif ali khan cannot be nominated for best supporting actor!!!
Rani Mukerjees nomination is because i dont think there is any other actresses who deserves even a nomination last time.Most of the movies released in 2007 was male dominated.
I certainly agree OSO music was very popular.but that doesnt make it deserve a nomination for an award. Moreover, I could accomodate only 5 nominations.Probably, if there was a sixth place, y not???
Regading the singers, I am sorry, there were better singers than Sonu and KK last year.Check out the songs that I had mentioned and try to see the complexity of the songs.Ajab si and Main agar may be popular, but to deserve an award, its a no-no.
Please try to get ur facts correct.Eklavya released in Feb 2007 and not in 2006 along with RDB and LRMB. Even Eklavya and Chakde had an issue with the Oscar nomination, remember??

the way the other XX-fare awards do result in the bad judgement. because the viewers would normally go for a judgement based on the box office collection and their personal bias. The judges are doing a good job here.
The results would be out any time. But wait till the 23rd for the declaration.You could also get to read what happend during the Vilm Fair award function with the snaps of celebrities attending the function.
